Haus I was our first project for Constructora Haus, and it presented two problems: how do you design a house without a client? And, how do you build a house on a hillside? The answer to the first problem came with the solution to the second. A large platform was excavated in front of the house, creating a stable exterior space, capable of fulfilling various functions - parking, recreation, play. The house is located on the edge of that platform, hiding its real size: the single floor seen from the outside transforms into three floors inside. This structure allowed us to create a simultaneously hierarchical and fluid internal distribution, ready to be occupied by any family.
